CANDIDATES CAR WRECKED

Following a night of threatening phone calls and text messages threatening to damage BPP members' cars, the car belonging to the BPP's candidate in the forthcoming election in Bramley and Stanningley Ward on May 4th was smashed up by opponents with all the windows smashed and paintwork damaged in the early hours of April 12th 2006. The police, for once, are taking this attack seriously and the suspected culprits are being sought, they have the numbers of the threatening callers from BT records even though the numbers were withheld.

We will make no further comment on this matter at present except to say that Peter Lazenby, the Yorkshire Evening Post/Searchlight journalist who regularly writes articles in that newspaper condemning parties like ours, has been informed of the attack on Mr Morrison's property and his only reply was to slam down the phone! Further comment is superfluous.
