It's
easy to do. Just get some leaflets printed locally (they must have BPP
HQ approval though before distribution) - or download the 'Battle for
Britain' from this site and get it printed off. Or send in for a supply
to National HQ. You only need two or three local members/supporters -
though the more the better, and a flag or banner and you are ready.
Pick out the town centre or a busy precinct and just turn up. Put up
your placard/flag etc and start distributing. It's not illegal as long
as you are not obstructing a public highway. Stand at the side of a
path or road so you are not impeding people's progress.
Flags
and papers make for members and publicity!
Aim for about one hour's activity - you should be able to
distribute 500 to 1000 leaflets in that time depending on numbers of
course.
Guidelines:
Do NOT get into slanging matches with local
reds/multi racialists
If somebody doesn't want a leaflet just says 'thank you' and move
on to the next person
If someone is genuinely interested (and they should be!) - get their
name and address and send it to HQ. Our National Secretary will get a
literature pack out to them.
If the police do arrive and get heavy handed just move away following
their instructions. Pick a new spot and start again.Usually though they
will look at your leaflet - keep one to hand over to their 'boss' and
let you get on with it.
If people throw leaflets on the floor or screw them up - clear the
litter away - it looks bad. Though you will find most folk will put
them in their pocket to read later.
Get a photo and send it to HQ for inclusion on the site or in NA
literature with a short report.
