EFP East Rural By-Election Campaign Report

9th September 2006

The England First Party kicked off the By-Election campaign, in the East Rural ward, Blackburn, where Stephen Hart is standing as a candidate. Stephen and a number of local supporters were joined by Cllr Mark Cotterill, the EFP's leader and Cllr Michael Johnson the EFP's election agent.

Together they distributed around 600 of the new "EAST RURAL VOICE" leaflet to homes in the ward, amazingly they found that two out of three of the local pubs were displaying "Vote Stephen Hart" posters even before their visit.

They got an extremely positive feedback with a number of residents saying they would definitely be voting for Stephen.

Stephen Hart is 45 years old and was born in the village of Hoddlesden, his family still reside in the East Rural Ward. Stephen works as a manager of a packaging company and has been with the company for 5 years. Stephen is married with a son and daughter age 12 and 15. He is the program editor for Darwen FC and he is also an avid supporter of Darwen Cricket Club.

As a Darrener he is passionate about his heritage and believes that rural communities are under threat, this is why he is actively fighting to save village independence and the country way of life.
