But the Roman Catholic Church says NO to homosexual adoption, and so do the Muslims.

As the never ending tide of politically correct madness continues to be foisted upon the people of Great Britain, this week our disgusting politicians plumb new depths. Yes, this very week the Catholic Church was told that they MUST accept homosexual ‘couples’ as potential adopters of children! In response to this, the Catholic Church have told the politicians that they may now have to STOP their age old practise, of finding homes and families for unfortunate parentless or abused children.

“The Equality Act, which comes into force in April, is designed to stop discrimination against gay and lesbian couples wishing to adopt a child, but the Church leaders called for an exemption for Catholic adoption agencies on faith grounds.”

Of course Phoney Blair at first seemed in favour of allowing the exemption, but this was said to have been very unpopular with the majority of his ministers. And indeed pretty soon Education Minister Alan Johnson, who is also responsible for adoption, was saying that the government including Phoney Tony saw no case for special treatment.

"I don't think there is a way through that includes an exemption. I don't see a case for exemption and I don't think the prime minister does," he told BBC radio.

"The case for no exemption has been made very eloquently. The strength of that argument suggests that we cannot introduce legislation to protect gays and lesbians against discrimination and at the same time allow that discrimination to continue."

The original request for special exemption was made by Catholic Cardinal Cormac Murphy O'Connor, and was soon supported by Archbishop Rowan Williams on behalf of the Anglican Church. Soon further support was given to the request by the Muslim Council. Dr Muhammad Abdul Bari, the Secretary-General, said: “The right to practice one’s faith or the freedom to have no belief is a cornerstone of our society, as is the right of all to live free from unfair discrimination and harassment.

So why should any particular group be exempt, and not others?

Catholic Church leaders warned that their seven adoption agencies, who last year alone placed 277 children, would not disobey Vatican guidelines against adoptions by homosexual couples, and if forced would have no alternative but to close their agencies down. Murphy O'Connor's letter to Blair argued that to force Catholic agencies to place children with gay or lesbian couples went against the Church's teachings.

"We believe it would be unreasonable, unnecessary and unjust discrimination against Catholics for the government to insist ... Catholic adoption agencies must act against the teaching of the Church and their own consciences," he wrote.

Murphy O'Connor said it would be a tragedy if legislation forced the agencies' closure as this could put some 4,000 children awaiting adoption at a disadvantage.

For the Anglican Church, Archbishop Rowan Williams, in his letter to Blair wrote:

"The rights of conscience cannot be made subject to legislation, however well-meaning,"

The Muslim Council went a little further, when Dr Bari stated:

“Homosexuality is forbidden in Islam. The Sexual Orientation Regulations as we understand them do not promote homosexuality but would provide protection against discrimination and harassment on account of sexual orientation.

“As Muslims, we are obliged to uphold the moral standards and codes of conduct dictated by our faith.”

And so I ask, why must any charitable organization be forced to act against its benefactors fundamental beliefs?

Here Is the Government’s Response.

Alan Johnson stated that the Church leader’s pleas were merely the view of a ‘minority’. Strange how selective HM Government can be, when dealing with ‘minorities’. And making every effort to continue with the government’s well documented hypocrisy, he went on to state that Jewish adoption agencies had made no such requests. Then he came out (pun intended) with this little gem:

"I very much hope that the Catholic Church does continue to provide the important service that they do. But if they don't, I think we can ensure that children are not disadvantaged by that," he said.

"There is a minority view from the Catholic Church and we are sensitive to that. We want to try and find a way through," he said, suggesting a transition period before Catholic agencies were forced to comply.

And so it would seem that the Catholic Church, as well as any other group that does not wish to operate within this governments increasingly absurd new laws, will either have to cease their operations, or risk being forced to comply.

The British People’s Party Say:

All power to those who resist this insane preoccupation by our government, to force us to become brain dead robots, unable to think for ourselves, and especially unable to form our own opinions. And whether one believes in religion or not, the fact that our government wishes to overrule anyone’s religious belief, is a precursor to the Orwellian type ‘big brother’ state that the liberal elite would like to govern.

First safety net legislation Clause 28 is removed, not because the parents of the children affected wanted it removed, but because homosexuals in authority wish to groom future generations into their grubby little perversions. So now school children are being taught about homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle.

Then another new law is passed allowing homosexuals to be joined in matrimonial type ‘civil ceremonies’. Now we have to put up with same sex ‘couples’ having the same rights as those of us who are committed to building and protecting our natural Man and Wife, Mother and Father relationships and families. This, in another bazaar and disgusting erosion of all our traditions, is to include the adoption of children.

The Catholic Church, the Anglican Church, and even the Muslim Council are either opposed to this by their fundamental religious beliefs, or support those who are. We at the British People’s Party salute them for their firm stance. And we promise that a BPP government would not only put a stop to the ‘homosexuals rights’ fiasco.

We would outlaw homosexuality altogether!
