At a meeting of the National Executive Council of the BPP fully attended by all nine council members, Stewart Collins, National Elections Officer outlined guidelines for candidates at the General Election. Stewart stated that all election material must be vetted and passed by him and that candidates would be interviewed as to suitability for their standing.
Originally, the BPP intended to stand three candidates but it is looking like four or even five candidates may be standing.
Candidates so far are:-
David Jones - Lancashire
Kate Dermody - West Yorkshire
Havering - candidate to be announced shortly
Surrey - candidate to be announced shortly
Another London seat may be added as well as a West Midlands candidate.

This has greatly increased our Election Fund target currently standing at just over £400. We have now increased the total target to £4000.
This is to cover deposits and election literature.
