A republican plot in
Milltown cemetery in west Belfast has been desecrated with Combat 18
slogans.
"Overnight, racist and
sectarian slogans, along with Combat 18 graffiti, were daubed on the
republican plot in the cemetery," said Sinn Féin MLA
Paul Maskey.
"A considerable amount of damage has been done to the
graves."
A PSNI spokeswoman said officers were not aware of the
attack, but added they would follow up any reports made.
Sinn Fein condemned the incident, which
they link to racist attacks carried out in the south and east of the
city where Romanian families were forced from their homes.
Sinn Fein west Belfast MLA Paul Maskey said:
"A considerable amount of damage has been done to
the graves. This attack comes in the aftermath of a series of racist
attacks on Romanian families in the city.
"The English fascist group
Combat 18 has well established links with unionist paramilitaries in
Belfast for many years.
"The racist attacks on the Romanian families all
emanated from within unionist areas. Unionist political leaders must do
more."
The graves targeted in the attack on Wednesday night
included that of IRA hunger striker Bobby Sands who died in 1981 at the
Maze prison.

BPP COMMENT:
Don't
they have any security at this cemetery besides the PSNI station across
the road?
It seems the PSNI weren't informed of the 'attack'. You'd think it
would be a prime target for loyalists. Are people just allowed to walk
in with buckets of paint and no-one does anything? This seems a bit too
coincidental at a time when White Working Class Loyalists are rising
against the 'Romanian' gypsy criminals in Belfast.
The
feeling of resentment of the non-White immigrant presence in N.I. spans
the sectarian divide but the shinners won't want a similar backlash
from Catholics against the immigrants as it's not part of their Marxian
"World Without Borders" philosophy so what better than to cause their
grassroots supporters to believe it's just the Loyalists that want the
immigrants out?
If the PSNI are asked to investigate this incident maybe they should
start their enquiries by checking for traces of paint under the
fingernails of Sinn Fein's propaganda debt?
