Manchester BPP calls for a halt to Chinese immigration

Over the last eight to ten years, Manchester has experienced a constant flow of new Chinese immigrants. The Chinese people have generally been well-received by Mancunians as they have always worked and were law-abiding. As time has gone by though, a flood has started and has begun to have political and cultural effect. Local government is now providing funding for Chinese facilities in exchange for votes. Major stores around China Town such as Boots and the HSBC bank are tailoring their outlets to suit this growing immigrant group.

This steady flow that has now become a flood is also bringing with it a new Chinese 'underclass': Local newspapers have run reports on Triad crime gangs and Chinese benefit cheats. We now see many mixed-marriages where the Oriental female partners have obviously only married the British male for the sole purpose of obtaining a British passport. There also appers to be a boom in prostitution with call girls and massage parlours involving women from Thailand. What's more, there is a growing force of Chinese political activists, mainly liberal-minded asylum-seekers who left China due to its government support of the death penaly and the 'one child' policy. These individuals are just viewed by the local Labour Party and pro-immigrant groups as a source of new recruits.

The time for an end to Chinese immigration is NOW! It is crucial for Mancunians and Chinese people in Manchester that immigration is stopped before Mancunians reject the Chinese community like they do the Somali and Muslim community.

Manchester BPP are preparing to alert as many people as possible to the seriousness of this issue with a leafletting and poster campaign.
