BPP show solidarity with Ulster Loyalists
Manchester City Football Club
has always had a hardcore following of Ulster Loyalist and British
Nationalists. This is unsurprising seeing that the club was founded by
the daughter of a Protestant priest and adopted the Royal Blue colour
for the home kit.![]() It is against this background that Manchester BPP members took leaflets in support of the Ulster British People's Party and placed them under car windscreen wipers during the match against Blackburn on the 11th January. The BPP used the excellent Ulster leaflet, "What the hell did they die for?" This leaflet is a great source of education for young City supporters who are unlikely to know the massive sacrifice made for this country by our Ulster men. Distribution was difficult due to the slippery snow but we managed to leave around a hundred leaflets under car window wipers in the street leading to the ground such as Palmerston Street and Viaduct Street. We also took notice of spots to paste up BPP posters such as 'Hang Real IRA Scum': We shall poster in the nights before home games and we will also continue to distribute leaflets during matches to enlarge support for Loyal Ulster among City fans.
