A THOUSAND WHITE NATIONALISTS MARCH THROUGH MOSCOW!

Russian radical nationalist groups have marked the freshly introduced Russian holiday — the Day of National Unity — with a procession they called “The Right March”, the Ekho Moskvy radio reported.

Ultranationalist groups such as the Eurasian Youth Union, the Movement Against Illegal Immigration and others were reported as organisers of the act.

Some 1,000 activists of those groups marched through the city streets shouting slogans carrying placards that read: “Russia for the Russians!”, “Glory to Russia,” “Out with Illegal Migrants!”, and the like.

Activists of the liberal youth movement Oborona (Defense) attacked the nationalists and threw firecrackers and condoms filled with water at them, Ekho Moskvy correspondent reported from the scene.

The police responded promptly to the attack by surrounding the Oborona activists and forcing them down a side-street while the march continued as planned.
