Muslim appointed BBC Head of Religion

The reaction of many to the appointment of Muslim, Aaqil Ahmed to the post of Head of Religion and Ethics at the BBC must be "How is this possible?" Until now, our public national broadcaster has been charged with reflecting our Country's Christian heritage and ethos. Aaqil Ahmed's appointment is controversial because his background and previous work at Channel 4 has revealed a noticeable bias towards Islam and multiculturalism.

According to The Daily Telegraph, senior bishops wrote to the BBC's Director General Mark Thompson when it was envisaged that Mr. Ahmed might be appointed, to question the BBC's commitment to Britain's Christian audience. The Archbishop of Canterbury had also raised concerns with Mr. Thompson that the 'Christian voice is being sidelined' after Mr. Ahmed was first connected to the role.

The appointment could be seen as the inevitable result of our multicultural society, in which all religions are viewed as of equal value. This is the secularist point of view that religion should be confined to the home and the church and excluded from the public square and the workplace. A cursory survey of the Christian Legal Centre's website (www.christianlegalcentre.com) will reveal the increasing intolerance of this ideology as far as Christians are concerned.

It could also be seen as another sign that our country is in danger of becoming Islamised, alongside, for example, the fact that under pressure from Muslims, the Qur'an is now placed on a higher shelf than the Bible in courtrooms, or the fact that Shariah Law is used to judge disputes in Muslim Arbitration Tribunals (now officially part of the English Legal System). Our Government appears to make concessions to the Muslim community, in contrast to its marginalisation of Christianity and the rights of Christians in recent years.

Another interpretation is that the appointment is the result of the European Directive of 2000, which was implemented in the UK by the Employment Equality (Religion or Belief) Regulations 2003. These 'equalitarian' provisions force employers to appoint an applicant to a role who is broadly the 'best person' for the job - if the candidate's religion is ignored, that is. This applies to every role, except where there is a 'genuine and determining occupational requirement' that they should be of a particular religion.

According to The Guardian, Jana Bennett, director of BBC Vision, said that the areas of broadcasting that the 'Knowledge' jobs commission (such as religion and ethics) 'go to the very heart of the BBC's public purposes'. Clearly, the BBC did not think that the Head of religion and ethics in our country where 70% of the population still align themselves with Christianity needed to be a Christian.

The Lord Jesus said that if the eye is single the whole body will be full of light. He went on to warn that if the light becomes darkness how great will be that darkness (Matt 6:22-3). When Christianity is no longer the light of a nation then the nation becomes full of darkness. Christianity is the only way by which man may know God. What is required today is for Christians in this country to stand up for the Faith and act on what they believe that Jesus Christ is indeed the way, the truth and the life for all that live in 21st century Britain.

IVORY SCULPTURE FOUND IN GERMANY COULD BE WORLD'S OLDEST
A 35,000-year-old ivory carving of a busty woman found in a German cave (right) was unveiled Wednesday by archaeologists who believe it is the oldest known sculpture of the human form. The carving found in six fragments in Germany's Hohle Fels cave depicts a woman with a swollen belly, wide-set thighs and large, protruding breasts.

"It's very sexually charged," said University of Tuebingen archaeologist Nicholas Conard, whose team discovered the figure in September.

Carbon dating suggests it was carved at least 35,000 years ago, according to the researchers' findings, which are being published Thursday in the scientific journal Nature.

"It's the oldest known piece of figurative sculpture in the world," said Jill Cook, a curator of Paleolithic and Mesolithic material at the British Museum in London.

Stones in Israel and Africa almost twice as old are believed to have been collected by ancient humans because they resembled people, but they were not carved independently.

The Hohle Fels cave discovery suggests the humans, who are believed to have come to Europe around 40,000 years ago, had the intelligence to create symbols and think abstractly in a way that matches the modern human, Conard said.

"It's 100 percent certain that, by the time we get to 40,000 years ago in Swabia, we're dealing with people just like you and me," Conard told The Associated Press, referring to the southern German region where the sculpture was recovered along with other prehistoric artifacts.

Conard believes the 2.4-inch-tall (6-centimeter) figure may have been hung on the end of a string. The left arm is missing, but Conard said he hopes to find it by sifting through material from the cave.

The Hohle Fels sculpture is curvaceous and has neither feet nor a head, like some of the roughly 150 so-called Venus figurines found in a range from the Pyrenees mountains to southern Russia and dating back about 25,000-29,000 years.

But Cook warned against trying to draw any connections between the Venuses and the Hohle Fels figure, saying that would be like comparing Picasso to a classical sculptor - too much time had passed.

"I wonder whether at this point we're looking at figures which are unique within themselves and unique within the cultures that they're arising in," she said.

Archaeologist Paul Mellars, of the University of Cambridge, suggested a clearer continuum.

"We now have evidence of that sort of artistic tradition of Venus figurines going back 6,000 years earlier than anybody ever guessed," he said.

Neanderthals also lived in Europe around the time the sculpture was carved, and frequented the Hohle Fels cave. But Mellars said layered deposits left by both species over thousands of years prove the sculpture was crafted by humans.

"Nothing within a million miles of this has ever been found in a Neanderthal layer," Mellars said.

The archaeologists agreed the sculpture's age and features invite speculation about its purpose and the preoccupations of the culture that produced it.

Cook suggested it could be symbol of fertility, perhaps even portrayed in the act of giving birth.

Mellars suggested a more basic motivation for the carving: "These people were obsessed with sex."

Conard said the differing opinions reinforced the connection between the ancient artist and modern viewer.

"How we interpret it tells us just as much about ourselves as about people 40,000 years ago," he said.

TWO MEN SET FIRE TO THE HOME OF A PUBLISHER AFTER HE ANNOUNCED PLANS TO RELEASE A CONTROVERSIAL BOOK
Ali Beheshti and Abrar Mirza planned the arson attack on Gibson Square Books Ltd after discovering it was going to publish The Jewel of Medina - a book about the Prophet Mohammed and his young wife.

Beheshti and Mirza poured diesel through the door of the Islington-based Gibson Square Books before setting it alight. They were arrested after being stopped by armed Met Police officers in an intelligence-led operation as they attempted to flee the scene.

Beheshti, 41, of Tavistock Gardens, Ilford, and 23-year-old Mirza, of East Field Road, Walthamstow, had admitted conspiracy to commit arson, being reckless as to whether life was endangered, at an earlier court hearing on 21 April.

A third man, 31-year-old Abbas Taj, had pleaded not guilty to the same charge, but was today found guilty by a jury after a trial at Croydon Crown Court.

The three will be sentenced at a later date.

Taj, of Field Road, Forest Gate, had dropped Beheshti and Mirza close to Lonsdale Square just before they attacked the property. He was to be their getaway driver, but was stopped in his car and arrested by armed police near Angel tube station in the early hours of September 27, 2008, just after they had set fire to the premises.

Deputy Assistant Commissioner John McDowall, head of the Met's Counter Terrorism Command and Senior National Co-ordinator Counter Terrorism, said: "These men planned to carry out arson as a violent reaction and protest against the publishing of a book.

"They did not care whether anybody would be killed or injured when they poured diesel through the letterbox and set fire to it.

"Photographs, tapes and documents found at their homes showed the violent mindset of this trio of arsonists.

"This was a professional, proactive investigation which left Ali Beheshti and Abrar Mirza with no choice but to admit their guilt when faced with overwhelming evidence.

"Abbas Taj denied being a part of the conspiracy, claiming he was an innocent party who was merely giving his friends a lift. But the jury has seen through his lies and convicted him today."

Beheshti and Mirza were seen carrying out reconnaissance 'drive throughs' of Lonsdale Square and its surrounding area in the weeks leading up to the attack.

Beheshti was also caught on CCTV filling a fuel can with diesel. He later put the can into the boot of Taj's car, which again was caught on CCTV cameras.

The three defendants were seen meeting before the September 27 attack and drive between various locations. At one point Beheshti changed his clothes in an attempt to disguise himself.

Following their arrests, searches were carried out at the men's home addresses.

A computer found during searches at Mirza's address found research had been conducted into Gibson Square Books, including a Google Earth Plus map search. The computer had been cleaned to prevent some material being recovered.

Photographs were found on a computer at Beheshti's home of him holding a burning cross at a protest outside the US Embassy in May 2005. Beheshti suffered burns to his hands during the protest.

Taj's car was found to have Jihadi tape recordings in it, as well as mobile phones belonging to Mirza which contained photographs that Mirza had taken on a previous reconnaissance of Lonsdale Square on September 9 2008.

For those Nationalist Week readers that are unaware, Halal is the barbaric method of slaughtering animals by slitting the creature's throat without any sedation and then letting the animal bleed to death whilst the body drains of blood. The animal can then take anywhere to up to two minutes to die, which amounts to animal cruelty.

 

Even though that Muslims could ease the animal's suffering by sedating them first before slitting their throats, Muslims refuse to do this thus proving their lack of respect for the life they are about to take, as well as a lack of humanity for the animal's suffering. This contradicts the Muslims mantra that, 'Halal slaughter is the most humanist form of slaughter and they have nothing but respect for the cattle that they sacrifice', as being nothing more than a lie..

 

Every Year at the end of Hajj (which is the pilgrimage to Mecca) Muslims celebrate by slaughtering sheep. More animals are sacrificed than are really required because Muslims end up buying more sheep than they need to sacrifice because they do not want to look poor. Some Turkish Muslims even order to slaughter at least 100 sheep, just to keep up with the Joneses!

 

But this practice of slaughter is not only practiced by Muslims. Jews are quite fond of their meat being derived from animals that have had their throats cut and left to bleed to death too. By rabbinical law the animals have to have their throats slit and then they are to be hung upside down in order to 'drain the carcass' or as we know it, to bleed to death.

 

An eyewitness who worked in a Slaughterhouse that also practiced Kosher slaughter, said:
"I could hear the screaming of the cattle from at least half a kilometre away. Each animal was wild with fear and was forced with an electric prod to run into a small stall which had a slippery floor and was at a forty-five degree angle, the animal would then slip and fall over enabling the workers could then attach chains to its rear leg. The chains twisted so the animals were turned on their backs. A crane is then used to shoot the animal into the air, one by one, normally their back legs snap. Then a fork is inserted into each of the cattle's nose whilst Jewish butchers bless a long knife, they said a short prayer and slit the throat of the animal which was then pulled higher into the air, the blood pouring from its neck and its front legs were thrashing about. We would sometimes watch in horrified fascination from a window above the killing box as the creatures were hauled along the bleeding trough in their final throes. You could not watch for long because it made you feel sick."

 

Yet, Muslims and Jews, both declare their methods as being more humane than Gentile/Infidel (that's us folks) methods and they have nothing but repect for the cattle that they slaughter, did any of the above statement sound humane or showed any respect to cattle?

 

If the Jewish and Islamic community must eat Kosher/Halal meat, would it be too much to ask for a compromise for them to sedate these animals first to spare them from the agony, suffering and traumatic events that await them? Both vehemenently refuse this small offer of kindness to their 'sacrifices' and is exactly why this barbaric practice should be banned in every Aryan country.

Chief Executive of Homosexual Group Found Guilty of Involvement in Paedophile Ring

EDINBURGH, Scotland, May 11, 2009  - The chief executive of a homosexual youth group and another homosexual "rights" activist have been found guilty, along with six other men, of being part of a large paedophile ring uncovered in Scotland.

In what police call the largest child abuse network unveiled in the country's history, a jury at the High Court in Edinburgh took several hours to return verdicts on 54 separate charges, including sex attacks on children, conspiring to abuse children, and possessing and distributing child pornography. 

The two men identified by police as the group's "ringleaders," Edinburgh residents James Rennie and Neil Strachan, were found guilty of attacking children, and, along with three others, of conspiring to abuse children.

The jury at Edinburgh's High Court found last week that Rennie, the 38-year-old former chief executive of LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender) Youth Scotland, was found guilty of molesting an infant beginning at three months old over a four-year period.  Rennie resigned from his position at LGBT Youth following his arrest late last year.

Neil Strachan, 41, the former secretary of a Celtic boys club and campaigner on homosexual issues, was charged with attempting to molest an 18-month-old boy, and assaulting a six-year-old.  It was eventually revealed that Strachan had been convicted previously of child abuse offenses: in 1997 Stratchan was sentenced to three years in jail for molesting a five-year-old boy over a period of two years.

The police investigation, known as Operation Algebra, began after child pornography images were found on workplace computer equipment undergoing repairs.

Rennie and Strachan are facing a maximum penalty of life in jail when sentenced July 29.  The other six face a variety of lesser sentences June 11.

Police say the paedophile network had contacts around the world, and while police say other arrests have erupted from the original discovery, it was likely that a great number of those involved would remain undiscovered.

"It would be foolhardy to say we caught everyone," Det. Supt. Allan Jones of Lothian and Borders Police told the BBC.

The other men charged were bank worker Ross Webber, 27; bakery manager Neil Campbell, 46; insurance claims adjuster Craig Boath, 24; civil servant John Milligan, 40; and homosexual sauna receptionist John Murphy, 44.

I decided to submit them hoping that they might give a few people at least a glimpse of the other side. Money or anything money will buy, I could not take for them, for money has been the whole cause of this monstrous tragedy. My words belong to an entirely other world where money has no weight. I am glad that I have won your prize for the glorious man who made such a magnificent fight to save the world and failed. We praise him in his failure, we praise him in his eternal victory."

BPP DAY OF ACTION IN LONDONDERRY

On May 16th in Londonderry, the BPP held a day of action on the city's Irish Street Estate. Local organiser Kyle reported that the day was a great success and that a good response was received from local folk. A lot of interest and support has been developed by Kyle and other BPP activists amongst Londonderry's grass-roots Protestants, who oppose the IRA and their numerous offsprings, since the BPP activity in the area earlier this year.
