NATIONALIST WEEK No.34 24th January 2005

SPEARHEAD
GROUP
NORTHERN CONFERENCE SUNDAY 23RD January
Twenty plus
delegates from across Yorkshire and Lancashire assembled in Leeds at a private
meeting room to discuss developments within and without the Spearhead
Group. SG member’s representatives included members of the BNP, NF, WNP
and the EFP showing how the Spearhead Group is bringing together
comrades from across the White Nationalist spectrum.
The meeting was
jointly chaired
by Tony Braithwaite and Eddy Morrison, National Chairman and National
Organiser of the SG respectively. The wide range open agenda followed
brief addresses by the chairmen and the emphasis was on encouraging the
many White Nationalists present to input their own ideas as to the way
forward not only for the SG but also for White Nationalism generally in
Great Britain.
It was encouraging
seeing the
strong bond of comradeship which is now reaching beyond party bounds
and personalities and uniting White Nationalists across the North of
England into cohesive action in the spirit of mutual respect for each
other. The meeting underlined the need to put all past differences to
one side and push for Nationalist unity.
At the same time the
SG
re-pledged it’s support for the ‘Spearhead Magazine’ and also for John
Tyndall’s ongoing fight both to get back his membership of the BNP and
also to give moral and physical support to the attack on the former
leader and founder of the BNP after his arrest and persecution by the
System under the innocuous Race Act. New full colour posters supporting
John Tyndall were on display with the slogan ‘Repeal the Race Act!’
Mark Cotterill
organised an
excellent collection and over £150 was raised for the SG. This
means the monthly bulletin for February ‘Truth’ will be a six-page
colour one together with other improvements.
The feeling of the
meeting was
that whilst the struggle to reform the BNP must continue, the SG must
provide an umbrella organisation to unite Nationalists of all parties
under the true ideology of White Nationalism. New members were signed
up and many January Spearheads sold.
A buffet was
provided by Sharon, SG National
Treasurer to whom many thanks.
CHRISTIAN
GROUP TAKES BBC
TO COURT
(Reproduced from Final Conflict)
Dear Supporter,
The Christian Institute is set to launch a High Court legal action
against
the BBC following its decision to broadcast 'Jerry Springer the Opera'
on
Saturday 8 January.
The show includes a portrayal of Jesus as a childish, foul-mouthed,
woman-beating sexual deviant. Some of the details are unbelievably
appalling.
Genuine religious debate and criticism is one thing, but this show is
an
offensive, spiteful, systematic mockery and wilful denigration of
Christian
belief.
The Institute believes the BBC has broken its Royal Charter by
broadcasting
the grossly offensive show. It is inconceivable that the BBC would
broadcast a show that abused the prophet Mohammed or Guru Nanak in the
same
way. So the Institute is also challenging the way in which the BBC has
discriminated against Christian believers in selectively permitting the
denigration of the Christian faith. Solicitors acting for the Institute
are
preparing to seek a judicial review on these two grounds.
For more information, read our press release at:
http://www.christian.org.uk/pressreleases/2005/january_19_2005.htm
Please pray:
* That the legal action would succeed.
* That the staff would be given wisdom as we carry the matter forward.
* That the media would report the issue widely and fairly.
The Christian Institute has done a great deal of work behind the scenes
in
preparation for this legal action. Our strongly worded public comments
have
been withheld until today whilst this work has been going on. Christian
Institute staff have also been involved in working on other issues of
concern, including religious liberty.
If you would like to make a donation to our work at this time, please
contact The Christian Institute office on 0191 281 5664.
Please forward this email to others who you know will support our stand
on
this issue.
Yours in Christ,
Colin Hart

The Christian Institute

LEGAL FUND
It has become
necessary for Spearhead to reopen the Legal Fund, launched in
2003 for the purpose of covering legal expenses incurred in its
editor’s challenge against his expulsion from the British National
Party during that year. As most people will know, this challenge was
successful; BNP Chairman Nick Griffin was forced to make an
out-of-court settlement whereby Mr. Tyndall’s expulsion was annulled
and he was reinstated.
As reported in some
detail on page 4 of the latest (January) issue of Spearhead,
Mr. Griffin has tried the same thing again. Mr. Tyndall was informed of
his expulsion from the BNP following the sitting of a disciplinary
tribunal which heard various charges against him on December 4th. The
charges were made shortly following Mr. Tyndall’s announcement of his
intention to challenge Mr. Griffin in an election for the BNP
leadership.
This matter has now
been placed in the hands of a firm of solicitors, who will be making an
application for judicial review of the case in London’s High Court. We
are confident that the outcome will be the same as previously.
In the meantime,
however, some legal expenses are going to be incurred. Quite
reasonably, the solicitors have requested an ‘up-front’ payment of
£500.00 to begin proceedings, which has been sent. More will
obviously be required before the case is concluded. We ask all
supporters to give generously so that this action may be pursued to a
victorious conclusion. One supporter – not a BNP member – has already
got this fund off to a good start with a generous contribution of
£100.00.
If the action is
successful and full costs are awarded the plaintiff, donors will be
given the option of their money being returned.
All contributions
should be marked ‘Legal Fund’ and sent to PO Box 2471, Hove, East Sussex BN3 4DT
