We've
got to get rid of these arrogant parasites...
What
credit crunch, says Prince Harry as he whisks Chelsy off to a
£1,000-a-night beach paradise
Times
are hard and everyone is cutting back this Christmas. Even the Queen
has asked her family to rein in their conspicuous spending.
But for one young couple, it’s
very much business as usual.
To really shove it in our faces,
Prince Harry is taking Chelsy Davy off to a £1,000-a-night
beachfront suite on a romantic tropical island.

Beach-bound: Prince Harry and Chelsy Davy are off to Mauritius while
thousands who pay for their extravagant lifestyles face losing their
homes
The 24-year-old royal plans to
ring in the New Year with his girlfriend on the honeymooners’ paradise
of Mauritius, all at the taxpayers' expense.
They are booked into a junior
suite in one of the island’s most luxurious hotels for eight nights and
will wake up each morning to the sound of the crystal-clear Indian
Ocean lapping on the sand outside their room while many of us wake up
to a pile of final demands coming through our letterbox
Harry, who is on a period of
leave before he joins the Army Air Corps to train as a helicopter
attack pilot, will join the Royal Family for their traditional
Christmas at Sandringham, all paid for by us of course.
But the prince will fly out as
soon as the festivities are over on Boxing Day.
He will meet up with Miss Davy
and her family - parents Charles and Beverly and her brother Shaun, who
are spending Christmas in Mozambique - for their luxury holiday.
The recession will seem a long
way away as the group, which will also include two of Harry’s
Metropolitan Police protection officers paid for by our taxes, enjoy
all that their five-star resort has to offer.
Surrounded by four miles of
palm-fringed beach and a turquoise lagoon, the hotel, which the is not
being named for security reasons, is situated in one of the most scenic
areas of the island.
Decorated in ‘tropical nautical’
style, the junior suites are designed to echo the colours of the sea
and sky.

Paradise for parasites: Harry and Chelsy will enjoy views like above
for eight luxurious days
They boast king-size beds,
elegant couches, a writing desk and rattan armchairs.
There is also a private balcony
from which guests can enjoy uninterrupted views of the glittering
ocean.
Guests are offered free
waterskiing, windsurfing and kayaking, and the use of their own
glass-bottomed boat.
There is even a complimentary
‘aqua gym’ should they feel like doing a little exercise, and access to
an 18-hole golf course.
The party will have their pick of
seven top-class restaurants offering everything from freshly caught
seafood to fine Mediterranean dining.
Staff are also happy to arrange
candlelit dinners on the beach.
A source said: ‘Guests at the
resort want for nothing. It really is the height of luxury.’
Zimbabwean-born Miss Davy, 23, is
studying for a post-graduate law degree at Leeds University.
Friends say she has not been able
to spend as much time as she would like with the prince because of her
work.
One added: ‘Harry isn’t able to
come up to Leeds because he is so high profile. And Chelsy is really
throwing herself into her final year of studies, which means she hasn’t
been able to travel down to see him as much as she would like.
‘They are both looking forward to
spending some time away together.’
Chelsy yesterday completed her
last day of a week-long work placement with legal firm Allen and Overy
and is said to be seriously considering joining the company after she
graduates next spring.

Justice will be ours!
