Socialist Body Recognizes 'State of
Palestine'
SEES IT AS FIRST
STEP TOWARD FULL INDEPENDENCE AND SOVEREIGNTY
NEW BERLIN,
WI — Citing what it called “the fundamental National Socialist
principle acknowledging the right to political independence for all
peoples of good will,” the World Union of National Socialists (WUNS)
has adopted a resolution formally recognizing the newly announced State
of Palestine as a “sovereign national embodiment of the Palestinian
people.”
The independent, nongovernmental organization (NGO) called upon members
of the international community to join immediately in establishing
diplomatic ties with the provisional government of the new state, and
to “support it politically and economically, as well as militarily.”
The WUNS resolution also demanded the immediate and unconditional
withdrawal of all Zionist occupation forces from Palestinian territory
and the dismantling of all Jewish settlements. It further called for
Palestinian control of the Jordanian border, as well as complete access
to water resources for the Palestinian population.
The World Union asked the international community to move “swiftly and
decisively” to enforce Israeli compliance with these demands and to
guarantee all aspects of Palestinian sovereignty, including the right
of return for all Palestinians expelled from their ancestral homeland
during the catastrophe of 1948. Such a right of return would also be
extended to descendants of victims of Zionist ethnic cleansing.
The NGO said that while it viewed the establishment of an independent
Palestinian state as a major move, it considered it only the first step
in a struggle for complete Palestinian sovereignty. It said it regards
the announced borders of the new Palestinian state as provisional and
subject to revision and expansion, with Jerusalem (Al Quds) becoming
the future capital of a united Palestine.
- The British People's Party is a proud
member of the World Union of National Socialists. The WUNS was formed
at an assembly of leading European and American National Socialists in
the Cotswolds in England in 1962. Among those present at the gathering
were the noted American activist George Lincoln Rockwell and the late
Colin Jordan of Britain, who served as first head of the organization.
